BaRnEy aka .... mr. boopie woopie boo!!

Well I did it!! 09 is goin to be all about creativity and challenging myself to experience new things!!! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO>>>>>>>>>>....

I submitted a couple of my scrappy layouts to a magazine call this am!!! I am excited to see what comes of it!!! Did a 12 x 12 and an 8 x 5 layout of .............. do you really have to ask who>???? BARNEY our puppy!! LOL did one of his first year and then one of his first birthday!! As soon as this is over I can post pics here i think have to go back and read the guidelines as from what i hear the maz companies dont want them posted for public viewing. Which i understand so you will have to wait to see him!! SORRY!! Ok though here are pics i promised of one of my coffee filter altered books!!

This is the back. This book is all bout friendship and friends!! Lots of journaling spots and photo spots and also hidden tags in every page!! the edges are open on ea page so you can tuck little notes, secrets or photos in them.



I use lots of ribbons, tags, brads, stamps, stickers, layer papers, decor edges, flowers, and a few altered items. Ex: a coin holder holds a tag!! Also i still have to tie all the pretty colorful fibers and ribbons on the book ring too!! so really it isnt finished yet!! If you would like a book like this email me as i do special requests!!! There are 7 inside pages done on both sides and the inside of covers also are done up!! Each book like this one is $22.95 plus their travel expenses to their new homes!!

STORMIN Sunday and a card

I cannot believe it is thunderstormin out again!! and we are gettin freezin rain!! YUK!! I WANT SNOW BACK!!! dang!! So here is a card I finished up this am before work it is for my first challenge of the year!!! We had to use only the following ingredients: 2 patterned papers, 7 brads/rhinestones, 2 flowers, ink or pen. this is my take on it!! It is a basic hello card for everyday givin!!!!

***The cute lady bug graphic on top is a freebie from my dear bloggin pal olde damepenniwig I have her in my list of favs so go chick her out too!! She has alot of cool freebies!!!

Another card & Jan giveaway!!

Ok so got home from work and finished up this I LOVE YOU card that i started this am!! I love making these paper flowers and they look so cool!! Of cource i had to distress everthing with my Tim Holtz walnut stain. LOL gotta prim it up a bit ya know!!

HAPPY MONDAY!

NEW YEAR NEW LOOK!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS BACKROUND!!! IT IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ME!! don't yall think so??? LOL

Ok well my boys said their cake was lip smakin good!! SEE!!!!!!!!! They all had frosting around their mouths!! TOO FUNNY!They enjoyed themselves!! And the little birthday boy Barney got to open a couple of presses!! a new stuffed toy and a sqeaky football and a rawhide bone!!! LUCKY DOG!!! LOL

Here's a peek at a couple new things i finished up today: another altered charm bracelet this one says angel with a couple altered vintage angel pics, lots of colored glass beads which you really cant see too good, a get well soon card for a friend, a hello card for another friend and then i am still working on 2 friends altered coffee filter books so hope to have them done tonight. I have to work the weekend so hope yall have a blessed new years weekend~ and will be back here monday {maybe sooner LOL}

MY BIRTHDAY BOY!!

Ok here is my baby he is one year old today!!! I made him his little party hat and as you can see he just isnt too thrilled with it.. His brothers Buster and Bubba wanted to try it on too!! They are so much more patient and sit for me so nice!!! LOL

**HAPPY NEW YEAR~~

We got some new snow since it all melted two days ago!! YEAH it snowed last night too!!

HAPPY HAPPY 2009 to yall!!!!

I cant hardly believe another year is behind us!! But a new year brings new hope/new friends and new opportunities. So with that being said here are some goals i would like to see happen
1.more altered art 2.expand my altered jewelry 3. join in on scrappin challenges 4. FINALLY do magazine submissions of some of my work/ideas 5. experiment with new recipes for our bakery 6. join in with my friends to open a bakery/gift shop

7.spend more quality time with my dear famiy all of em!! 8. add on to our farmstand for the bakery 9. teach some scrapping classes and last but certainly NOT LEAST i want to get a tusked pot belly pig for the farm and name it "ARNOLD" ROFL ok i know what yall are thinkin but they are so cool and so smart!! My horses and goats need a new playmate!!

So what are some goals you want to work on in this new year????

Here's a couple of pics from baking for the holiday. The powdered sugar ones are fruit thumbprints made with our canned peach butter for filling and the bottom ones are butter cookies with choc rasp baking chips, i drizzeled choc over them when they cooled. YUMMY!! *chick out my etsy bake shoppe for some of our specialties, we will add regularly too!!
