altered wood frames and more

Hey yall!!
Hope you and your families had a most blessed Thanksgiving day!!
I have so much to be thankful for and feel truly blessed for everything and everyone in my life!!

We spent the last beautfiul warm sunny day outside working pretty much from sun up to sun down thurs.  Hubby was home and we really needed to do the outside chores before the snow comes.  I am glad our family understood it was 60 outside.  I split the big pile of wood while hubby drained and cleaned the pool out, moved things around and also we had to do the goats hooves, close in the windows on the coop and fix the gated door for the "girls", and well let's say we stayed busy every minute!! but it was fun to work with him together.

My brother was needed a project of something he could assist in making for a couple of craft shows he is in so we came up with some altered wood frames.
This pic is my first dog on my own Ozzie, oh he was a sweetie!!
So of cource we had to do some frames for dogs!!  These are all for sale for $6.50 plus shipping and we can personalyze them too!!

another dog one

pretty pinks with some Prima gorgeous flowers

I love the light soft blue and black together

oh an some nekked cranberry pistachio biscotti

And I finally finished up some enamel pan lids I have been collecting and some gingers I made last year! =)

Another pinkish one love those beaded flourishes!! I take them apart and use bits n pieces of them to add some "bling"

"thank heaven for little girls" on a sticker across the top

the finished dipped biscotti!! no longer nekked! LOL
Yesterday and now today the wind is just whippin around outside!! On my way out I took pics down the road so you can see how wild those waves are!! and cold!!

Cheddar foccacia

orange glazed cranberry orange bread

and some small round loaves of cheddar foccacia!  Love making foccacia, next time though I am going back to baking on the stones

This was our adventure last week  a 10 day sourdough bread  nice slices in the top and ready for the oven

after baking

while baking in the oven they plumped up ALOT!!

and another done one!

they were most excellent!! I do however like the ciabatta we made better!! This recipe was good but with all the work of making raisin water and all the days inbetween while it soured up it really wasnt worth the work!  The ciabatta to me had such a more intense flavor and only was  a few days!!  The crust on the sourdough was nice and crisp and the inside as you can see had nice air pocket and was moist!!  I dont think I would make it again for quite awhile though.   We are experimenting with alot of bread recipes this winter so watch for another one soon!! LOL
TODAY IS SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY!! dont forget to shop locally!!
We are having our market at Foundry Hall in South Haven today with a couple new vendors popping in!! so stop on by 11-3 today!
have a wonderful weekend!!

A vintagey lo and me

I decided to stay home today and play in my studio!!  Dont ya just love when u get something new like a new tool or stickers or die cutting machine or well patterend papers!!  I LOVE LOVE LOVE papers!! and I know I have said this before but love My Minds Eye!!  Love them!!  So with that said I just wast chompin at the bit to work with the new papers I bought.   In fact I can hear some more calling my name so on my way home from market friday there justttttttttttttttttt happppppppppppppens to be a hobby lobby right on my way no goin out of the way or even gettin off the main road just make a right turn and opppppppppss there they are!! LOLI made the flowers using some great patterend papers and adhered the base one to some chipboard and cut them out.  Added distressing along the edges and bent the petals up and down.

together is the name of this vintagey lo.  I am not quite sure who the couple is but it was in my grandmothers old photos I had.  It says miami fla at the beach handwritten on the back.  Not sure of the year either.

And here we are again with the pearl flourish!! the last of the pieces I cut apart.  gonna get more of them too!

I machine stitched along the vintage sheet music in a zig zag pattern but you really cant see that at all on the pic.

And I had to do a lo of me, something to show my style and had to have a few ingredients in it.  Stitching on the page, I stitched the muslin tag to the gingham paper,  My favo Tim Holtz stamp!!  so that had to be on the page, those favo pearl flourishes I love so much, they are sooooooo me!!

Flowers, flowers and hearts!!  Love making layered altered distressed flowers!  again SO ME!! and that pic of me and my sweet Buster Brown.

Yall know PINK is a favo color of mine so this had to have lots of it on the page.  I layered my pic with a few different pink papers, notice too if you can my sweater is light pink~!~LOL  of cource, and there are some great pink gems here and there!

So now I am off to work outside since the sun is shinin and it has warmed up to 45 oustide.  I think that might be wrong it feels warmer than that.  But I want to plant some rainbow swiss chard and cilantro in pots in the greenhouse.  It is like 90 in there!! LOVE IT!  love gettin in the dirt!  maybe that is why I distress and age just about everything!! dirty lookin!! LOL
so have a wonderful wonderful tues!!
talke to ya more soon!!

Fabo friday

HEY YALL!~!~ TGIF!~~ My mom and I went out to lunch and had to pick up a few groceries then it was back home and I finished up my layout #13!! and also finished up and listed a glass tile pendant on etsy.
BTW the 2 baby boy cards are sold and outta here!! thank you!!  If you are interested in one or something similar just email me and I will make one up for you special!!  I can pretty much make any occasion card!!
And here for sale also are my glass tile alphabet pendants.  You can either buy one with or without a necklace.

1in x 1 in with with either dictionary page or sheet music page backround!!  LOVE THESE!!
The barn red heart is cut from grungeboard and painted then stamped with a postage mark stamp by STAMPABILITIES and then sanded just a bit and distressed with TIM HOLTZ distressing black ink.

This little heart is cut from an embossed felt, I love that is kind of looks like leather and gives nice texture to the top corner of the page.

The only journaling on here is the word love stamped onto plain cardstock using a brown chalk pad.
This adorable little boy is my friends grandbaby, isnt he a cutie pie!!??  I used some MME papers (love all their papers) and cut out some various sized hearts for the cluster then did a bit of direct pad to paper rubbing for the edges to soften them up a bit.
And I am off now to work on a project for a challenge at The Vintage Market.  Got my order from them in the mail today so I can work with the 3 ingredients they gave now.  Maybe a wall hanging or ??who knows I may get out my paper clay and add something to it with that stuff!!  The 3 ingredients it has to have is a vintage bingo card, some bakers twine (gee have lots of that on hand LOL) and their vintagey clear plastic snowflakes!!  Cant wait, I have a few ideas swimmin around in my head on this one!!  Will share that when it is done!!
REMEMBER if you want to participate in the sketchathon over at scrapfriendzy stop on by and become a member there are wonderful gals on there!! http://www.scrap-friendzy.com/  we would love to have ya!!

Desk top scrapbook

Here is a new baby girl mini album I finished up this am.
There are 15 pages in all to add your photos and or journaling to.  Each page is different and embellished with lots of stickers, stamped images, paper flowers, brads, eyelets, letters, ribbons, fibers, words and different colored cardstocks.   There is plenty of room for you little bundle of joys pics.  And what a great keepsake for all to see standing on a desk or table.  I did the covers out of wood then painted and added papers to them so this will stand on it's own.  I did put this book on ebay this am but would also make a personalyzed one if you would like one too.
Gotta git er done and finish my studio space!!  Have a great afternoon!!
