A dear friend made me this beautiful wreath of sweet peas so I hung it on one of the old recycled screens I have hanging on the outside of the farmstand. I love the sign I hung on top of it too!!!

We had a horrible patch of tstorms come thru last week and the kitchen lost power but for once we didnt at home! knock on wood too!! We usually always have to pull out the generator in the early summer from some bad storms but it really hit the cliff and almost bounced over us and went inland 3 miles and boy was there damage!! we seen big ol trees uprooted and tons of big limbs and branches down all over, and the flooding was horrible in Holland which is aoubt 20 min north of us. Roads actually were either closed or GONE from all the torrntial rains we got!! Bust we survived a ok!!

WHEW!! what a busy weekend, we had more planting to do and we also had a busy day at market on sat and fathers day sunday!! BTW HAPPY LATE FATHERS DAY TO ALL THE FATHERS OUT THERE!! hope you had a restful fun day!!!

Well I have a couple of new recipes I have thought of this weekend to make this week for market. The little buttermilk shortcakes were a big hit and they sold well at the farmstand here at home this weekend too. I think they will be great with mixed berries when the raspberries and blueberries are ready. Gosh that sounds good for tonight may have to pull some out of the freezer and make it for a midnight (right 9pm is more like it) snack!!LOL

IT IS OFFICIALLY SUMMER we closed all the windows t0night and put on the ac!! YEPPER the air is running!! Buster and his daddy dont good in the humid heat of summer so it was time to break down and turn it on. I love the windows open but actually it is almost 85 degrees right now so it is a bit hot.

Thought this banner would be perfect as it is a bit whimsical and fun and cute!! Different from my grubby dirty primitive things but i love both!! Actually some of us prim gals have been invited to join the lollishops site so am thinking about changing some things up a bit and more frou frouy for them.

Have a super night will post pics as it is my work christmas party tomorrow so have lots to do to prepare for that. Hopefully will get pics of hubby and i by the big decorated tree!!

SWEET TREATS FOR SALE

Ok well i have been busy this am baking and making some sweet treats for yall!!

Pistachio bread, a one pound loaf of my locally famous (lol) sweet and moist pistchio bread, it is glazed with an almond glaze and topped with chopped pistachios. $4.99 plus shipping by zip code. **THIS IS A RECIPE FROM TASTE OF HOME THAT I MADE MY OWN!!

Another great seller at shows and our market are our gourmet dipped pretzel rods, I start out making a homemade carmel dip then dip them in milk chocolate then roll in asst toppings.

Available right now i have them topped with chopped oreo cookies, asst chopped peanuts, crushed toffee bits or crushed butterfinger bar. THEY are so yummy!! I sell these for $1.50 each plus shipping expenses and individually pkged and tagged. USA shipping only sorry!!

Now we are still under this winter storm and it is very cold only 22 this am!!Winter wonderland MI~~ BRRRRRRRRRRR too bad all this snow is the light fluffy kind or we would be out making snowmen!! LOL well too cold for that stuff but sure would fun. I took my dig cam yesterday to my little show i was in and forgot to replace the batteries so NO pics!! dang i was mad but didnt really have anything other than the pics from my open house show. TUES thoughts

OK well it is tues and after running errands and pickin up feed this am then to buy some ingredients for baking this week got home and instead of working out in the barn cutting wood here i is!!! GEEZEEEEEEEE gotta get my butt workin or will never be ready for my big open house/show next weekend. Wanted to let yall know bout a super wonderful blog to visit. I said i was gonna post pics of our snow but the dang wind blew it all off of the trees and some has melted but the ground is still all white. I will take pics as we are gonna get snow all week so hopefully it will look pretty pretty again for yall!
Also I will be offering our gourmet dipped pretzels and chocolate bark on here too!! If you didnt know already we are fully licensed by the stated and the kitchen i use is a full bakery kitchen fully licensed too. You can chick out some of my cookies i have at my etsy site but will be posting here too if anyone is interested!! We make everything from scratch and only use high quality ingredients plus as much local ingredients as possible. Just leave a comment or give me a hollar!!
