Happy Baking day~

Well I have a dear friend that is gonna help me bake today, with both markets this week and for some reason I have somewhere to be each day this week but today I figured a bit of help would be much needed!!!  Right now I have about 6 orders to get out so those will be priority on the list of baking which is lemon poppyseed muffins, peanut peanut butter whoppie pies, cheese scones, (made in freezer just have to bake off) cranberry pecan sandwich cookies, espresso sandwich cookies and I really really want to make a new sandwich cookie today too!!! a bit of a hint on a new one >>>> chocolate cream!! 

I did work on a baby book this am that also has to be shipped out asap so that should get finished up tonight.  Oh and did a couple of new layouts of my niece Carissa.  I seen this pic and just HAD to do something with it!~~ LOL  so Rosey Cheeks is the title of this lo.

I love doing layered paper flowers and there are plenty on this page.  A paper doily is cut and added underneath the photo, some brown and pink polka dots flourishes, (love those flourishes!!) and a bit of ribbon accents.  The letter were cut from polka dotted paper using my accucut!! finally gettin some time to play with the letter fonts I got awhile ago.  And then just used a couple of different sized punches for the flowers along with some painted chipboard cut outs.

Well that is about it to share today sorry but I really gotta get myself ready to head over to the kitchen since it is already after 7am!!   So with that I wish yall a happy happy sunshine filled first of March!!!

Feb JAD challenge

Here are some of the items I laid out and played with.
This was the first way I tried it but wasnt competely satisfied so reworked it.
Another version but wasnt quite what i wanted.

It has been a pretty productive monday here. I had time to finish my first challenge on Jeans Art Dolls for the Feb challenge! My challenge was to do a "themed" layout. So you know me vintage and distressed all the way baby!! I decided to go with a black and white baby pic I found and .


so did a vintagey love page!!
So here is the finished one! I love flourishes so stamped some on the sheet music and the top corner of the base. I hand cut the letters, used some scrap patterend papers, a grubby hang tag with Love stamped on it, added some cut outs and old buttons. I buy alot of thrift store finds and found rolls of binding tape so that is along the bottom of page. I love the look and feel of this page and am pretty happy with it now!!
Next to work on finishing up a couple of new altered books I am 1/2 done with.

Me on a DESIGN TEAM!!

I have been chosen and am so excited about starting something new!! I have been accepted to be on Jeans Art Dolls mixed media/scrappin design team!! YEE HAW!! this will be good for me to be more creative this year and give and take inspiration!! I love paper and paper creating so with all the supplies I have I can use them up now!! There is a button on the sidebar here for it.

I am not doing anything today so am planning on spending the rest of the day in my studio. My boys are all crashed out on the couches Barney is sitting in a chair next to me and will be in my craft room with me. I have a chair in there with a pillow on it just for him!! The other boys like to stay in the living room where the fireplace is goin and warm.
So I hope yall have a great day and will post pics of my first project as designer. It is a layout challenge with a theme!! Since Valentines day is approaching I am thinking of a vintagey lo with the "love me" theme?? I did have a friend suggest "born to love" as a title so maybe will be using that. Off to create!!

Spring Monday

Happy Happy spring monday!! It is lookin abit more like spring round here anyway, but raining and cold, the grass is sure gettin bright green and oh cant wait to smell the freshly cut grass, which will be right round the corner. It was an absolutely beautiful weekend here and almost 73 degrees on sat but kind of gloomy and rainy on sunday and only in the 50s. The little seedlings in the greenhouse and coming up nice, usually we dont plant outdoors til memorial day weekend and believe me I am waiting til then!! Every year i get overly anxious to have some bloomin flowers around the house and then out of the blue all of a sudden BAM!! a late frost and they are done in!! NO MORE I SAY!! NO MORE EARLY PLANTING!! I did get a beautiful pink azalea from one of my favorite doctors while in the hospital and a very dear dear friend brought me a bloomin easter lily so those are in the kitchen bay window adding such nice colors, another friend made me a very cool necklace and gave me a scarf to wear, and then another dear friend (family by choice) brought me a super pink pair of pjs and some chocolates and a lovely jasmine scented bath and body gift set. We had alot to haul home from the hospital that week.
I am on the mend and just taking things slowly, sure are learning my limits though i have to say!! NO pushing myself right now I gotta be good!! My boys are sure lovin spending so much time on the couch with me!! LOL of cource i love being with them as much as possible. In fact my parents took us out to dinner last night, OH AND I DID finally find some black marble look floor tiling!!! yeah!! (will show ya a pic when we have this cabinet done we are using it on) anyway after dinner hubby wanted to run in the grocery store and get his pepsi and snacks for during the week well after dinner we were on our way and parked and both said let's just go home! We both missed our boys so much we couldnt wait to get back home so tonight he has to go to the store instead!! LOL I know we are quite a pair huh!!! LOL
Ok so that is about all that is new round here, nothing too excitin' but am lookin forward to a week of gettin something accomplished. My plans today are to work maybe on a few scrappy things that i have been thinkin up and watch a couple of movies we recorded over the weekend!! so with that said I will leave yall for right now and talk to ya soon!!

Happy weekend yall!!

Had some time to work on some new cards today. This one is thinking of you, i love the light olive color mixed with pink and brown.

I painted these violets on thick paper then cut them out and added a bit of glimmer mist and a thinking of you stamped image. The stamp is from k and company. I love it!!

I love this k and company bird stamp. Also green and brown might be one of my top color mixes now!!

Many thanks card. I used a stamping up stamp for the many thanks you are appreciated tag, added some layered torn cardstock and flowers.

It got to 49 degrees today and believe me as nice as it was outside it stinks now because we are having major flooding!!! Our driveway was just water and more water and my poor pasture is underwater in alot of spots but we did loose ALOT of our snowpiles!! CRAZY either 0 degrees or warm this winter!~

My mom is still in hospital but they are planning on surgery wed am. I hope and pray they fix this and dont find anything inside.
I want to thank everyone for the prayers and well wishes THEY ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!

Sunflowers

OK NOW I dont have these blooming right now but just wait til summer!! We usually plant quite a few different kinds to cut for market and for the shop. I printed these out and made this 12x12 page of my favoriteist flower ever!! We grew these last year along with some lemon drop, vanilla, red velvet, teddy bear, orange mexican sunflowers and lots of others. We also sell some seeds so will let yall know on here when they will be in!!
