The pups are too cute!

We have a severe winter storm blowing in tonight suppossedly around midnight we are expected to get anywhere from 5-13inches of snow!! YEAH! love it!! Just gettin sick of the really really cold weather we are having. Well it is MICHIGAN!! LOL anyway here is a pic of one of my projects i did manage to finish up today. "LOVE" an altered art charm bracelet. I love making these and have 4 more on my work table ready for me to finish them. Again i used old wood bingo chips for the round letters and some super thick glaze to seal them good. I did list it on my etsy shoppe if interested. http://chickenscratchprims.etsy.com/

Well off to make more bracelets and create!!! YEAH!! YIPPEE

Happy Hump day!!

HAPPY HAPPY WINTER TIME!!

Gosh the days are just a flyin by!!.........................gone.............. OK DID YALL WATCH BIGGEST LOSER LAST NIGHT????????? OMGOODNESS we were so happy that MICHELLE won!! YEAH for her and my gosh I couldnt believe the transformations in the contestants!! A BIG WAY TO GO!!! We are so happy for Michelle's new life and the life regained with her beautiful mom. I cant imagine being that displaced from my mom as we are best friends and talk at least 2 times a day (most times more than that)LOL, but to not talk for years WOW!! I cant imagine. But that show is so inspiring and moving glad it will be back on in jan!! YEAH!!!

Well it was quite a strange day i must say, i worked part of the day and it just STRANGE!! My coworker friends and I get together the second week of dec to bake and deliver cookies to the docs that we directly work with so that was fun and they all looked so nice!! I got pics but not sure how to get them off my phone LOL so when hubby gets home will have him show me.

I did mangae to make some pkgs of my TAFFY APPLE DIP MIX and listed them on my etsy shop and will sell here too. IT IS YUMMY!! good with apple wedges, pretzels, crackers, nilla wafers, animal cookies or oh and i love this idea we had!! ON A TOASTED BAGEL!! YUMMY!!!!!!!:) You will recieve a pkg of the mix itself and then i include a pkg of roasted chopped peanuts that you can top it off with. All you have to add is 2 YEPPER THAT:S 2 ingredients then chill and serve. WHAT a delico" treat!!

Pkgs are $3.50 plus travel expenses which usually is under $2.00 in usa. Sooooooo if ya want some just give me a hollar. When i make this dip i usually will use 2 8 oz pkg of cream cheese but if you want it really sweet and gooey use just one. It does make alot though. **THIS IS MY RECIPE**

Ok here is an altered charm bracelet i listed on my etsy shoppe last night. It has altered mini bingo chips for the lettered charms which spell out DIVA with 17 asst glass beads and 3 clear glass heart beads. TOO much fun making these and hope after the holiday I will have a chance to really make some!! I ordered a jewlery book which features alot of altered art pieces so cant wait for that to come!!

Projects for monday

Keychains for the 2 little "princesses" Arent they just too stinkin cute!!!

A very dear friend had me make her and her sis a key chain with their pic from ?? not sure of when but when they were just little kids.

I also made them each an ornament for their trees. They are best of friends and I love them both. What do ya think? I am taking them to Pat tomorrow and think she will love em. On the front they say SISTERS ROCK and on back is jus their names and 08.

Good tue morning!!

WOW tues already yesterday was spent packaging up a couple orders and TRYING to ................ ok i can say the word it isnt that difficult trying to OOOOOOOOOrganize........ there! my crafting room /studio! My goal is before i need to start making new things for a big show in march is to really work on my creativity and the only way that is goin to happen is to have my area more inspiring and less CLUTTERED!! That was alot to say!! LOL at work i am all about being little miss organized but when i get home FORGET it!! isnt that crazy!! maybe though it is because most creative people have messy desks?? sounds good to me!! Did manage to get 2 boxes of what i call snack packs that were orders to go out. They have a couple pkgs of different kinds of cookies, a couple dipped oreos, some dipped pretzels, a loaf pistachio bread, and a few candies for another order. They looked so nice wrapped up in asst. holiday tissue papers and cute snowmen tags will have to take pics of the next ones i make up. Well today will be all about baking cookies, at work some of us gals bring in a few dozen of our favs to make up cookie trays for the docs that we work with so that will be on the agenda plus i have a dental cleaning and then need to sort out a BUNCH of paperwork to sign up for our new insurance plan at work. WHICH is tripeling what we pay now so i am not to anxious for that to start. That will probably be the VERY last thing i do today. I WANNA PLAY with paper and paints!!! It is snowing again and still brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr bitter 18 degrees again!! we usually dont see this cold of weather til jan so this is not very fun. I thought it was too cold to snow but at least it is pretty and white and fresh outside. My little boy, Barney, is so funny he hops thru the snow like a bunny!! The older boys arent as happy when snow is on the ground. Bubba well, he spends the majority of these cold days in the warm/hot waterbed!! curled up under every blanket he can. In fact when i get home he will have all the blankets on a big ol mound at the foot of the bed and under them all!! LOL Buster he loves watching out the big window in living room, he watches the deer and lets me know they are coming. IT is really CRAZY how he can sit there, his hair on his back all up and staring into the woods and know they are coming thru, we cant see them til they are really close but he knows well ahead of time!! We say "Bus you see em""??? ANd he will do his little (well big boy) growl. LOL They are all such a big part of our lives!! LOVE EM! Here's my baby BARNEY>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I will post some pics when i get things done up today and let yall see my projects for the day and it is back to work tomorrow. :(

Soup and bread Saturday

Ok it is just downright cold here so last night we had some homemade soup that was soooooooooo yummy!! My mom and I used to make a big ol pot of this and have it for a couple of days.
HOMEMADE CHUNKY TOMATO SOUP
I start out with 2 quarts of my own stewed tomatos, can used canned if you dont have any. I like to add 1 tablespoon of dried parsley, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tablespoon sea salt, 1 tsp dried basil leaves. Now take 2 cans of campbells tom soup empty in lg stock pot, add 3 cans of milk, (use your soup cans to measure) 1 large onion chopped, 1 cup chopped parsley, and a pinch of pepper. Now add in 1 bag of your favorite wide noodles and i like to add a couple of tablespoons butter, now just simmer til noodles are ready and soup has thickened. I forgot to take a pic but i am sure will make this again for my lunches at work this winter.

Here is another recipe for yall!! I made this a few times this fall for market and it went over really well.
APPLE CHEESE BREAD
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup shortening
2/3 cup sugar
2 eggs (beaten)
1 1/2cups grated cooking apples with juice
1/2 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
*optional add 1/3 cup chopped walnuts*
Heat ove nto 350 cream butter, shortening, and sugar. Add beaten eggs and mix well. Add apples, cheese, and walnuts. Add sifted dry ingredients and mix lightly. Bake in greased loaf pans (this will make 3 mini loaves or 1 9 in loaf) bake for 30-35 min til golden brown. Serve warm with butter!! or with your tom soup!! YUMMY COMFORT FOOD HERE!!

Thought this banner would be perfect as it is a bit whimsical and fun and cute!! Different from my grubby dirty primitive things but i love both!! Actually some of us prim gals have been invited to join the lollishops site so am thinking about changing some things up a bit and more frou frouy for them.
