Some finished projects

In honor of my mommys birthday we went to the new casino that opened up nearby.  Only an hour away!  It is a fun place and I could really enjoy working there with all the excitement of Vegas but not being too far away from my loving home and family!! LOL I really dont think I could handle the noise more than a couple of hours though so scratch the job thing!! LOL
Anyway we played alot of different slot machines, some poker and also had lunch there which was very good.  I loved spending it with her my dad even gave her some spending $$ but we really didnt win much back!! just had alot of laughs. It was so busy when we left in the afternoon I was glad we got there early.  All kinds of machines and they even had a Survivor one!! with the early on seasons cast member pics on it.. Like Rupert for one!! and it was a penny slot so had to play on that one for awhile!   We really didnt understand the slots but that didnt matter to us. Just had fun!! 
Tue I did whip up a batch of some new shortbread cookies!  Chocolate chip cardamom!!  Actually I like the flavor I didnt put alot of cardamom in since it is a strong spice but pairs nicely with the bitter sweet chocolate. 

Mini chocolate chips were used in them.  They look cute too!!

And with full market season opening around the corner I started making some of my dip mixes up.  This is a onion dip mix that is great to season meatloaf, tried it the other night.  I like it for a chip dip or for pretzels!! yummo!!

Pkgs waiting for labels.  Ran out of ink in our printer so will have to make a trip to the store today or tomorrow.   AND a dear friend ordered some painted wine glasses from me so finished them up.  They are for the Ohio State University Buckeyes!! 

They were fun to do, let me tell u workin with glass paint is entirely different from acryllics which I am mostly used to workin with.  But I am happy with the way they turned out. 

And did up a few altered pendant necklaces up.  this one states "sisters rock" and on the back it says best friends forever. 

I have a couple to finish up like one that has a little girl and dog image and says "the more I know about men the more I like my dog" LOL too cute!! 

And here is a cute image of a little girl holding onto her favo teddy bear.  I added some mini punched flowers and her hat and the words True Friends to the front. 

The back has the same punched flowers and the word "Cherish" stamped on using my JUST RITE mini word stamp.  And the definition cherish.  Love love love polka dotted papers!! I have to dig out more of my papers in my stash to work with them. 

So that is it for the past couple of days today is baking cookie day for market sat and maybe makin a batch or 2 of pierogies.

Hope yall have a glorious thursday!!! the sun is shinin here and it actually isnt too cold, 30s today maybe in the 40s I can handle that!!

altered charm necklaces 4 sale

WOW it's monday!!  and BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR COLD too only 21 degrees outside!!  We had rain, sleet, snow, wind and more cold this weekend but it today the sun is out so it makes all right!!   Well here is another offering for sale.  Altered Charm necklaces!!  I made them using 1 x 1 in memory glass tiles sandwiched between scrapbook paper and an alphabet letter.   All of them are different and both sides have a letter just a bit different.  $10.95 plus travel expenses which is between $2.59-$5.95 in and out of the usa.  I will wrap them and add a handmade holiday gift tag if you would like them for a present for someone special or maybe for yourself!  Oh and each one will come with a few glass beads in coordinating colors.  I have black chains, sterling silver or a ball chain necklace.

Some of the pics arent real clear sorry about that I tried and tried to get them clearer!!  So I am also working on something for me today!!  A prezzie just for me from me! LOL everyone needs at least one like that!

I am off to work somemore on my prezzie and later tonight my mom and I are taking my brother out and do a bit of shopping at Kohls!! love some of their stuff!!  I am hoping to find something special for my dear sweet lovin hubby! and then to petco for the "boys" prezzies!! which I have to hide in our 5th wheel so they dont find them and so they get surprised by what SANTA brings them!!  LOL

More handmades

At it again!! Using found objects to make fun and funky jewelry that is!!! LOL found these cool glass bubbles at a local discount store and thought hmmmmmmmmmmmmm to creative side!! So with that I added some cool photos of angels and fairies, some mini word stamps and a bit of soldering and VOILA!! a cool altered pendant!!

SORRY the pics are not that clear, it is hard to get em good with the glare from the glass. I did use all the right settings on this digi I think??LOL

Love this little gal!! THESE are all on my etsy site too!! $7.95 plus a mere .90 cents for USA traveleing expenses and one can be all yours!! I did not include a neckace to these, that way you could use whatever you would like. Black satin ribbon looks fabo!!

OK this framed collage is a gift for my step-daughter BRANDI her bday is sunday and she will be the special 16~~~she is a fun loving funky lovin kind of young lady and loves purple. WELL this is special because there is a story behind the elephant in this collage. Did u see an elephant when u looked at it??

LOL for the most part you can make him out!! When she was a little kid she would come to our house and would never and i mean NEVER be without her blankie!!! she carried this thing around until it was so ragged and worn we had to get rid of it. Believe me it couldnt be fixed or mended anymore!! that poor kid would literally ball when she couldnt find it and would or could not sleep without holding onto it. Well I do remember one day we bought her the cutest, softest stuffed dog to replace the poor blankie. It did take some convincing and we did have to hide what was left of mr. blankie but i managed to save a few vital pieces, in hopes of one day givin it to her as a remembrance. SOOOOOOOOOOOO here is one of the bigger pieces I had hidden away in a drawer. Gosh that was in that drawer for 12-13 years now. LOL see i dont throw anything away huh!! So I put him on this collage along with a few purple flowers and her beautiful picture from this winter. She is absolutely a gorgeous kid!! I loved these funky chipboard black and white letters and attached them to the outside of the glass and a matching little heart. We are giving it to her this weekend at her party. HOPE she likes it!~! I sure do!!

Well off to get more done, it is almost 43 degrees outside and it feels like spring!! YEAH!~cant wait!~! so have a wonderful day and will chat more later!!

Scrappy Sunday!! FEB!

AFTER FRAME~~This is an altered wood sign to hold a photo of that sweet girl!! I love pink and brown together and the touch of blue is super on it!! I added some flourishes (cut on my new machine) a double silver heart charm and some frou frouy fibers to make this a one of a kind frame

OH MY GOSH IT IS FEB ALREADY! where the heck did JAN GO??? GEE!! time is just a flyin and I feel like I am standing still sometimes!! OK so got up really early this am and made a few new things. I had to! I bought a circle cutter at hobby lobby last night and could not wait to play. TOO fun! plus they had a paper sale soooooooooo as i walked down that aisle I was like on a madness shopping spree grabbin each and every new paper out there!!! LOL {u can see me doin this i know}

Now listen why, hubby was with and I only had a few min to get my act together so i really didnt have time to sort and be picky, he ran to the bathroom which gave me a couple more minutes to shop. I Love him dearly but he just doesnt understand a paper addict has to have more paper and yepper u guessed it EVEN MORE PAPER in her studio!!!! My inlaws took us out to dinner to Applebees last night for my hubby's bday so hl is right down the street from there. IT was just fine by me to go there!!
I have not had any incidents goin on lately thank goodness! Now that he has showed me how to use the microphone on my cell phone i can record a message to self (so no more lost truck) i just make a quick note on there what aisle i parked in and about how far down and HEHEEHEHE!!! alot less time and confusion at the grocery store for me!! ARENT you impressed! I just told him NO i dont need to do that i remember where i parked??? looking at him calmly and securely as i say this of cource! SO SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH he doesnt need to know everyting~ RIGHT~~

Here are some of my new altered collage pendants! All i have left to do is solder around each one and add a jump ring and DONE!! The bakery princess if for me LOL I thought the saying was super on back, "she wants to make her cake and EAT IT TOO!" me isnt it!!

I just adore these and will list them on my esty and here later!! WE are having another blizzard again!! so far we have gotten right around 19 inches since sun YEAH!!! YIPPEE!!! happy happy snow dance goin on here!! I am puttin a couple on my etsy shoppe today. For other news my dear mom is back in the hospital again!! third time since just before xmas, hope and pray they find some answers this time as she is not any better worse infact.

They have to be missing something or maybe they are goin to try a different med ?? who knows i am surely not a doctor, i give them credit though as they sure have a tough job when there are no clear signs as to a patients problems, which also got me thinkin how the heck to vets do it.??

as they dont get symptoms from their patients and yet they figure out things and make our precious pets well!! I am so thankful for our vet he is WONDERFUL!! caring and so dedicated. Ok well hope yall are havin a great tues and will chat with yall soon!! I thank everyone for being here!!

HAPPY MONDAY!

WEll i just wasnt feeling very creative today think i am trying too hard maybe!! I didnt have to go into work so tried workin on new paper projects. Here is one!! a stand up altered album, I really do like it, it is themed FAMILY with 6 altered pages inside. I used my favo papers by my minds eye and stickers, ribbons, stamped images, tags and layered frames along with some hand drawn flourishes. I have another one cut but thinking it will either be for a new baby or friends not sure. LOL will decide when i sit to actually do it. My mom is back in the hospital so we are trying to get to see her i miss her alot. But we have talked several times on the phone today and my dad and brother went tonight to see her. Hubby worked late so he is tired and i am just gettin drained. My sil's wedding is wed so hopefully the weather is goin to cooperate!! NO snow please!!LOL we only have a few piles left as again it was in the 40s today!! THIS IS SO NUTS for december!!!and MI!!


Heres a couple of new altered pendants i finished up too. Love that little girls face!! she knows she's beautiful huh!! LOL
