Some finished projects

In honor of my mommys birthday we went to the new casino that opened up nearby.  Only an hour away!  It is a fun place and I could really enjoy working there with all the excitement of Vegas but not being too far away from my loving home and family!! LOL I really dont think I could handle the noise more than a couple of hours though so scratch the job thing!! LOL
Anyway we played alot of different slot machines, some poker and also had lunch there which was very good.  I loved spending it with her my dad even gave her some spending $$ but we really didnt win much back!! just had alot of laughs. It was so busy when we left in the afternoon I was glad we got there early.  All kinds of machines and they even had a Survivor one!! with the early on seasons cast member pics on it.. Like Rupert for one!! and it was a penny slot so had to play on that one for awhile!   We really didnt understand the slots but that didnt matter to us. Just had fun!! 
Tue I did whip up a batch of some new shortbread cookies!  Chocolate chip cardamom!!  Actually I like the flavor I didnt put alot of cardamom in since it is a strong spice but pairs nicely with the bitter sweet chocolate. 

Mini chocolate chips were used in them.  They look cute too!!

And with full market season opening around the corner I started making some of my dip mixes up.  This is a onion dip mix that is great to season meatloaf, tried it the other night.  I like it for a chip dip or for pretzels!! yummo!!

Pkgs waiting for labels.  Ran out of ink in our printer so will have to make a trip to the store today or tomorrow.   AND a dear friend ordered some painted wine glasses from me so finished them up.  They are for the Ohio State University Buckeyes!! 

They were fun to do, let me tell u workin with glass paint is entirely different from acryllics which I am mostly used to workin with.  But I am happy with the way they turned out. 

And did up a few altered pendant necklaces up.  this one states "sisters rock" and on the back it says best friends forever. 

I have a couple to finish up like one that has a little girl and dog image and says "the more I know about men the more I like my dog" LOL too cute!! 

And here is a cute image of a little girl holding onto her favo teddy bear.  I added some mini punched flowers and her hat and the words True Friends to the front. 

The back has the same punched flowers and the word "Cherish" stamped on using my JUST RITE mini word stamp.  And the definition cherish.  Love love love polka dotted papers!! I have to dig out more of my papers in my stash to work with them. 

So that is it for the past couple of days today is baking cookie day for market sat and maybe makin a batch or 2 of pierogies.

Hope yall have a glorious thursday!!! the sun is shinin here and it actually isnt too cold, 30s today maybe in the 40s I can handle that!!

ALTERED WEEK!!!

Ok i am sooooooooo very excited!!! YIPPEE YIPPEE!!! YEE HAW!!! as i have posted i am gettin ready for my show i leave tomorrow and will be back late sat night!! Been busy altered more skates, a suitcase, painted up more signs and gosh did some altered ornies and more altered jewlery which is my fav now!!! I ordered more charm bracelets and also necklaces that i can charm altere up!! THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH HOURS IN THE DAY!!! Hubby is staying home to take care of the farm chores and my 3 furry boys (which i will miss all of them immensly) even hubby!!!LOL I will post booth pics when i get home but really need to get back to my studio!!! I am currently also working on a magazine submission of something i made and will post all about that when i can get it done. TOO many stinkin ideas to do!!! HAVE yall seen the new Cloth Paper Scissors mag?? oh wonderful ideas in the latest issue!!! great snowman things !!! OK OK NOW i really got to get off here and back to creating!!! since that is not really work ya know!!! LOL

I have added 2 pics one of a Queen of olde crow pendant necklace i made and another charm bracelet!! Been busy cutting glass and acrylic pieces to make these and they are soooooooo cool!! cant wait to see what happens at the show with them IF all else fails i have lots of xmas gifts already done!!!

Buster is doing much better this am!~! had a bit of a rough night poor guy had upset tummy and pukey but did get rest and had scrambled eggs for breakfast so far that is fine with him it stayed down good.

Years ago hubby and I purchased a glass and bottle cutter set as we thought how cool!! we can make things with this, it stayed in one of our barns still in pkg UNTIL yesterday that is!! LOL finally found a use for it!! In the pic is what i did, I cut my microscope slides to make charms with and also made the mini altered pendants. HOW STINKIN COOL!!! Gosh a new addiciton here!! I cant get enough emphemera and glass beads and chains, and jewlery stuff!! We are goin to have to add on my little studio for all the new drawer cabinets i have been purchasing to house all my great finds and trinkets. THIS is so much fun though, each and every piece i have been making is truly one of a kinds. I did list a few on my etsy site and will be positively making more today.

It is funny i NEVER would have thought of myself as enjoying making jewlery but you never know!!

It is 72 degrees here which is just plain nuts!! but oh so beautiful out!! Guess i will go and work on some outdoor projects this afternoon since we all KNOW this weather WONT last long!!! Have an absolutely wonderful afternoon and enjoy your night!!

UP at 3am

Ok well Barney our puppy got me up being a wild dog at 3 this am so got a cup of coffee and went to my craft room. WHERE else would a girl go at 3 am??? LOL ok well here are a couple pics of the altered microscope slide pendants into ornaments i made. PLUS this country farm girl LOVES charm bracelets so made one with my "boys" pics on it. This will make you laugh, i was big into FFA in high school and my mom and dad bought me a charm bracelet with PIGS on it!! YES pigs in different pastel colors and i still have that bracelet too!

SO made one for myself and will make a few to sell at my upcoming shows. I am going to start a blog just on my altered stuff called Altered Wearables by Chicken Scratch. Does that sound ok?? Since my crafts are Chicken Scratch Primitives and well the farm is Chicken Scratch Farm and Bake shoppe.

Ok well hope yall have a super duper wonderful day. The sun is shinin out here and it actually is almost 50 outside and not windy!! YEAH!!

New creations for me

Well here are pics of 2 of my altered baby books i finished. I love love love the sepia pics they are how i want to make the papers actually look now!! LOL well just playin with dig cam to see what i havent tried before. I am still havin difficulties with taking close ups though!! URRRRGGGGGGG!!! I took a couple pics of my additions to my altered wearable jewelry i am making for my upcomin craft shows. They are fun and we pulled out the ol glass cutter bought several years ago at a show but NEVER have even used that dang thing so NOW hehehehe will play with it to make small charm bracelet altered pieces!!

Now that yesterday was the last market day for us =( will miss all my market buds that is for sure!! will have lots more time to "create". Hopefully work wont get in the way too much!!LOL

It is so danged windy here it is blowin all our beautiful colored leaves around and down like a rain downpour but the "girls" (our chickens) are runnin here and there all over the farm lovin this sunny cool day. I do have some flats of greens planted in my little greenhouse and the spinach is doin wonderful and the arugula so hopefully our friends and us will enjoy them into early winter time. My mom and I are plannin on cannin more of our applesauce and then some apple butter yet and that is about it for awhile. Will hopefully have extra made when market opens up next spring to take along. Well better get my self busy here and get in my craft room and CREATE!! yeah~~ have a wonderful rest of the weekend!!
