Market Day~~

Well it was our first day for our local farmers market!!! WHAT a great day it was a bit chilly and windy but overall the sun was out and the people came! We had our asparagus, apple cider donuts, pies, plants, some of my hp signs and of cource some chicken eggs!! ENJOY here are some pics i took!!

Hello!~
Hope all you mom's out there had a very happy happy mother's day!!!
We went out to dinner with my parents and brother, and to our fav resteraunt, Cracker Barrell!! Love all the good comfort southern cookin!!
We worked outside for awhile but it rained all day on and off and was rather cold so not a very sunshiney day. I will take pics of our baskets and outdoor gardens we made they are so cute in old pots and pans i had laying in the barn to do something with someday!! LOL

Hello all!!
Wow the weekend is here!! YEAH~~ TGIG!!
Hope yall had a great week, we have been busy planting seeds, making up some garden planters and patio pots to sell at farm market next weekend, and hubby made me some shelves in my greenhouse since i bought more seeds to start and ran out of room!! Maybe by fall we will have my greenhouse doubled in size. Depends on how things go and if we have enough play money to add on. The seedlings are coming along nice and the flowering baskets we started are already blooming!!! I need to go make donuts tonight as we are busy tomorrow am so will make this post brief and get goin.

Some of our Flock

Happy Sunny Day!! Here's some pics of some of our flock, they are in the big pen we built just waiting for me to open the gate and let them run!! We have such a problem with hawks and coyotes that we had to build this pen that is 50 feet long and 18 feet wide complete with handsewn chicken wire top so they are safe when i am not home. The white palm turkeys are so pretty we have 1 hen and 2 toms and those boys strut their stuff so proudly!! We have 4 geese which are also pretty and NOT aggressive thank goodness, then the guinneas which are very cool, they are the watch dogs of the barnyard. We also have 3 white peking ducks and one female mallard which is our "little duck Annie" who by the way does not go in the duck pool for some reason but she is adorable and small. I kept joking that i was going to write a kids book about the duck that doesnt like water!! Then there are my "girls" our hens we have all kinds and them some, since we hatch our own eggs we get some really pretty different looking girls. Auracanas, white rock, barred rock, rhode island reds, sultans, crested polish, silkies, and a couple of frizzles which are absolutely adorable. They are in the pic on top in the cage as they are still quite young and very friendly too!! It is cold here so wont do too much in the greenhouse today we got a light frost the other night and it has really put things on hold for a bit. We need to clean out the horse barn and spread that manure on back garden then maybe cut some grass if it dries out more. BUT the sun is shining and bright so all is good!!

HAPPY MAY DAY!!!

HELLO YALL~~~and a very HAPPY MAY DAY!!
Gosh the lilac bushes are showing color at the tips but it will still be awhile before they open LOVE that smell!! The greenhouse is nice and cozy warm for all my little sprouts peeking thru the soil and it actually is nice outside today, they are calling for rain all afternoon and most of the weekend so who knows!! We do need rain as we didnt get that much last week at all.. Busy weekend ahead of us i have donuts to make some signs to finish and then we are cleaning out my horse barn to spread the manure on back gardens. We both love being outsided so much that we dont mind the work at all, it is a different kind of work. "HE who plants a garden works with GOD"
