More monday projects

Ok here is another of my altered wood hearts.  This one has the word love down the side and is in the sagey green colors.  I am lovin these altered chipboard flowers!!! TOO CUTE!! they are so much fun to do.  And the layering really makes them pop off the project so nice.
Now for my own altered weekly order planner!! THIS is so so so SO ME!! I am lovin it and I can see this takin me awhile to complete.  I got the front done and one page inside!! I am a lover of all shades of pink and decided to lean towards them on this project with touches of sage and blue, and an occassional brown!!  In making this I used 2 pkgs of found already pretty file folders, cut them in 1/2 and then used my old labeler, u remember the kind, u turned the knob to the letter and then pressed the handle together, I was a kid when those things were popular.  AND we didnt have fancy pants keypad ones!! LOL anyway I also am proud of the "being green movement" and in doin this I used recycled items on this too!! The backround is a piece of cardboard that was in a photo frame, I cut a piece of it and painted it and aged it then added 2 bigger snaps on the end and tied some recycled pink bakers twine aournd them.  The flowers are made from the backs of notepads and painted, sanded, stamped and distressed.  Also the emphemera on here has been laying in a drawer for so long I thought it was time to put it to a good home.  So love the front!!  This is thurdays front all altered up.  I added my flower then some ephemera again laying in a drawer, the double heart charm was some we had left over from our weddin a few years ago, they were tied onto the flowers on tables at our  reception.  I love love LOVE flourishes so stamped a couple on here with my wonderful super great wet chalk stamp pad.
That's all I got done early this am, I had to take my mom to the hospital for a outpatient procedure so we were there quite awhle, then had to pick up our first batch of babies!! YEAH we got little "girls" 7 auracauna chickies, 6 grey pymouth rocks, 5 barred rocks and AND 2 BRONZE TURKEYS!! couldnt find them anywhere so was so excited to get a couple!!  Hopefully they are a pair! and not 2 boys!!  I do have Moe who is a white palm turk so it would be nice to have a girlfriend for him too!!  They are peepin away out in the henhouse safe and sound in the brooder!!  TOO cute I will take some pics of them tomorrow.    I have to go to the kitchen in the am am work on some cookies for an order and make bagel dough! YEAH gonna try some apricot almond bagels this week and also some cherry almond maybe!!??? how good do they sound toasted and smothered in cream cheese!!
OH YEAH!!  LOL comin from the south we love everything "smothered and covered"  LOL too yummy!!
Well yall have a great evening and I will catch up with ya and new projects tomorrow!!

Just a few today

I have a just a few things to share today.  If yall wanna make an altered chipboard embellishment here are some tips.  Cut out your shape or use pre cut one found in the scrappin stores.  I like to recyle thin cardboard from like a cereal box or even the back of a notepad.  Then paint your shapes, when dry use a rubber stamp and stamp with ink all over the cutout.  Here  I used my word definition from STAMPING UP love this series!!
Then I added some antiquing gel and black dry brushed black paint around the edges for more defined lines.
I love using old sheetmusic or pages from a book on my projects so here is a torn page with antiquing medium aound the edges, I did slightly mist the page with water before starting and crumpled it up a bit.  Smooth it out then add your paint or medium.  Adhere to card back or paper or cardstock.  I then antiqued around the base of my card.   Adding a strip of patterened paper and some ribbon finished the base of the card.  Now add your embelishments, here I added the blue bird and a stamped piece of cardstock and a heart.  All done!! Anyone can make a one of a kind unique card and it costs alot less than say a hallmark card and it puts your personality on it!! which in my mind means alot more!!
I remember the first year my hubby and I were together, he would make me little note cards and have a pawprint on it from my dog "Ozzie" it meant the world to me and I still have them all save in a drawer.  I will cherish those little things he does for me!!
I cut out some wood hearts to alter and came up with this home one.  I love love LOVE my alpha stamps I bought from JUST RITE stamps!! they are way cool!!   This is a very light sagey green color heart with one of these altered chipboard flowers  I am so hooked on making!! they are just fun and whimsical to do!!
And another happy hello card.  Here I used my STAMPING UP happy hello stamp and then paintd the chipboard hi letters.  The bronze rust color in the flower is the same as on the letters and it just pops the green and yellow backround.  AND I had to add one of my cute polka dotted PRIMA flowers!! LOL they are too stinkin cute!
This card was made this am for a dear friend of mine!!  She is a doll and I wanted to just give her a little somethin somethin' so with a pkg of shortbread cookies I hope she likes this litle surprise.  Just to say Hey and love ya for being a friend.
Ok so that is about it I am off this am with my mom and brother, out to breakfast and then to target and we'll see where else we end up.  Hubby is gonna stay home and take care of "my" boys and be the nanny today!!LOL, he has things to do around the house.  Enjoy your day and I will be back soon to share more with yall.  THIS is the last week for Bronsons Winter  Market so have a few special treats planned for this week.  TAKE CARE~ hugs

Cake day

This was the grissini dough from the other day, it made 6 pounds of dough and we ended up freezing quite a bit for another day.  The dough gets rolled then put thru the pasta maker then back thru the fettucini rollers to make nice long skiny bread sticks.  They are super yummy too we just sprinkeled some course salt over so they kind of remind me of a cracker.  These will be goin to market this coming week for a trial run.
BAGELS were  awesome!! gosh what a difference fresh makes!! WE of cource had to enjoy one with some cream cheese right out of the oven and oh boy what a treat that was!! so light and flavorful!!  so these will also be making their way to the markets coming up.
These are the nice and golden and super crispy breadsticks.  I did try a few with spinkled dried sweet basil but it really didnt stay on too well maybe I will run it thru the pasta maker that was it will surely stick!!
I got a phone call last night for a wedding cake for tomorrows pick up.  This is a three tiered cake with a request of blue flowers and alot of them.  The cake was marble and then was iced with vanilla buttercream and has a chantilly butter filling.   It needed a bit of pink and since sweet peas will be blooming soon I added some vines of them along with  the blue little drop flowers and yellow centers.  I like the way the flowers flow on down one side of the cake and round to the backside.  This is going to be a surprise for the bride she doesnt know someone else ordered her a cake.  I surey hope she likes it!!  It took me 6 hours from start to finish today.  But usually I have the frosting made ahead and didnt have time for that today.  I love decorating a cake just not so much making the cakes!! LOL  3 pounds of cut up butter to make the decorator frosting and then the buttercream. Last night I made another birthday card, wanted one to be a bit masculine and I just love the bronzy color backround.  Using one of my flourish stamps I stamped around the corner and then used one of my grubby coffee stained tags for the Happy Birthday stamp.  The flower is chipboard that has been painted, stamped, distressed and antiqued.    I used my JUST RITE mini word stamps for on the leaves and the center of the flower says Dream with the twine from the hang tag as a bow.And this little sign is gonna be for my brothers booth at market.  We have been helping him plant lots of herbs to take to Allegan Market in June he starts there.   I just had to add a bit of bailin twine to this of cource!!LOL
So that is about all I have to share at the moment.   I am beat not sleeping too good at night my Buster has been gettin me up a few times a night to go outside and do his stuff so hopefully tonight he and I both can sleep.  Tomorrow I have to go to the kitchen and make up 4 cookie baskets for gifts on order so that will be a busy day there again.  Hope yall have a blessed evening, it's lookin kind of gloomy out so hopefully we will get some rain tonight.
Thanks for visitin my blog!!

Altered board and a card

I got a couple of new projects finished up today.  This is another one of the dollar store plain signs I bought and altered it to make a cute sign for your "home tweet home"   The pattered paper is by MY MINDS EYE, I drybrushed some light blue paint on it and also distressed it with antiquing medium.  Added a painted sanded and stamped chipboard frame around the saying.  The flower and ticket were in my ephemera pack by K and Company.    SORRY THE BIRD PIC HAS BEEN REMOVED FOR POSSIBLE PUBLICATION
Here are the makings for the new card I made today also.  I just love the terra cotta color chipboard flower I cut out.  It is antiqued and layered on light green paper.  I love using old sheet music papers (if you havent noticed)  LOL.
Happy Hellos stamp by Stamping Up.
Well we did get the bagels shaped today they are in the fridge rising overnight and we also made a big batch of grissini sticks which also are in fridge.  So tomorrow will be busy baking day.
Have a blessed evening!
and thanks for stopping my our little farm blog

Prim bird card

I think this is my FAVO of my cards today!! I tore a piece of an old old book out and aged it quite a bit then actually dry brushed some of the same blue paint that is on the bird on it..  the bird is stamped with my stamping up thanks definition stamp then aged.  I really like the colors on this card too.  That big of green ribbon is just what makes it pop!! I am heading back into my little studio to finish up a few more cards then out to do chores.

Thanks for looking and have a blessed night!
