Happy Turkey Day

I hope you and your families have a BLESSED THANKSGIVING DAY!!  We are going to my parents house tomorrow and I have a ton of bakin to do so wanted to wish yall a happy day just in case I dont get on here til late tomorrow!

Here are some new paintings I have been workin on since 3 this am.   A bit different than last weeks, they will be for sale at the DECATUR show we are doing this weekend  HOLIDAY AT NEWTONS WOODS!!  Fri sat and sunday!!  So I am leaving for the kitchen now to bake and am leaving yall with lots of pics to look at!! 

I did make some peppermint swirl bark while at the kitchen yesterday.   I put some hershey's chocolate candy canes thru the hammer process to get a nice fine consistency and then melted down some awesome white chocolate.

Swirled that and decided it needed some color.

Melted some red candy melts down and really swirled that into the chocolate for a nice pinky kind of color. 

Off to cool!!

Marvelous Monday

Today was really nice outside almost 63 degrees only it did rain quite abit and it is thundering out right now and we are under a possible tornado watch.  Craziness for this time of year!!

Here are some carob dipped milk bones for the shows and of cource my "boys" have approved them as yummy!!

I packaged up 3 in a pkg.  They look so cute!!!

I also worked on some dips to package up.  My dillyicious dill dip which was a big hit at the show on sat.  Samples of that my pumpkin spice dip and also my taffy apple dip mix and bacon dip mix.  

I love these gingham papers and loaded up from Hobby Lobby last time I was there and they were on sale!! cant wait for another paper sale!! 

The pumpkin spice dip mix is so good and it is delish on a toasted bagel too!!

ANd these were all sold at the show.  I am working on a few more for another show this weekend. 

The lady that bought this one loved it and said 'it spoke to her" LOL glad everyone was happy with the signs. 

 So my craftin peeps and I are puttin on a primitive holiday show this weekend FRIDAY SAT AND SUN at NEWTONS WOODS town hall in DECATUR!!  Just past the cass road.  Just minutes from Decatur.   Which Decatur high school has their big holdiay show this weekend too!!    So I will be sure to take lots of pics for yall and if yall are nearby stop on by!! I am offering a homemade lunch on sat and will also have lots of goodies to offer, lots of primitives, handmades, some antiques and great handmade local holiday gifts!!

CHRISTMAS AT NEWTONS WOODS primitive/country show and guess what??? IT IS THE COMING WEEKEND~~ we had such a great turn out we are doing it FRIDAY SAT SUN

Friday November 26 will be for early buying from 3pm to 7pm Sat open 9-4 and sunday from 10-3. I will be hosting a homemade luncheon featuring homemade soups, hot dogs, polish sausage and lots of deserts~~ ALONG with plenty of goodies to take home and yes SAMPLES of some of my goodies.

My friends have garden accessories, candles, potpourri, homemade soaps and body lotions, essential oils, outdoor stone accents, and the list goes on. STOP ON BY!!

Just minutes from Decatur which has their big school show this sat also!!

So the show was really nice yesterday LOTS of people stopped by and it was almost 60 degrees outside PERFECT for the festival!! I sold all my painted signs so have 7 more basecoated outside and I will cut more out for this weekend.

I did sell alot of pretzels and if anyone wants to order some please contact me!! they will arrive packaged individually and also I will wrap them up pretty if they are for a gift. Which they make perfect gifts!! who doesnt love chocolate dressed up!!??LOL

I have the following toppings:

choc covered cherry (pretzel dipped in choc then rolled in chopped andes cherry candies)

german choc (pretzel dipped in choc then rolled in coconut and toasted pecan pieces)

asst sprinkles, honey roasted chopped peanuts, homemade toffee pieces, crushed oreo cookies, and also hershey mint kisses.

Also I have some listed on my etsy shoppe too.

Painting today~

Well figured I better get to painting some new signs for my show sat in mount pleasant. Here are a few i did last year and will do similar ones today and a couple of new ones too! TOO many ideas floating around in my head so better get them down in paint huh~~

A kids skate lamp I did for shows last year. I found 3 pair a couple of weeks ago to do more of these!! The double blade skates are really hard to find. My mom pointed them out to me at a thrift store we were in so CHA CHING!! they were all in my basket immediately!!

All these signs sold last year at the show my friends and I put on in Decatur the weekend after thanksgiving! We rented a very cool old old schoolhouse, stuffed it full of holiday treasures and also I put on a lunch for it!! WE had a blast~ now gettin ready to do it again in a few weeks!!

Norton Wood show will be friday sat sun starting the day after thanksgiving!! MARK YOUR CALANDERS~! more primitives and sweet treats this year!!

The show yesterday was ok NOT nearly as busy as any other shows. They ended up with 85 booths and a good selection of items too just not many customers around.

HOLIDAY SHOW SAT

OK JUST wanted to post another reminder if any of yall are near Decatur Mi sat my friends and I have rented a very old and primitive town hall to hold our first annual Holiday Handmade open house sale. WE have lots of great handmades there, plus I am having a homemade bake sale, complete with cookies, chocolates, chocolate barks, sugar free chocolates, breads, pies and some mixes plus SAMPLES to munch on. Lots of handmade snowmen items, finished altered art scrapbooks, memory books, soldered pendant necklaces charm bracelelts, homemade natural potpourris, candles, body products, all natural soaps etc. Garden accents, all natural imitation stone fountains, stepping stones, bowls and bird baths. PLUS handpainted wood items, recycled treatures, dolls, primitive ornaments, saltbox house lamps, WELL SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE!!!

Christmas Open House show
