Rainy and windy wed

Well I have to start out saying I am so sorry for not posting regularly right now life has just been crazy!  The markets are busier than ever and I have recieved alot of special orders which is wonderful just limits my time on here more. 
I did make some of my coconut macaroons yesterday but blinged them up a bit by turning them into "almond joy" macaroons and they are super delish!!   Also made some espresso cookies with chocolate drizzle, my flour free loaded oatmeal cookies, lemon glazed lemon tea cakes, peanut butter whoopie pies (these are a weekly itme that people request more of each week!) and I tried a new Paula Deen recipe for a cream cheese filled red velvet cake!! OH MY GOODNESS!! I love makin red velvet cakes anyway but the filling is just gorgeous in it!!  I topped it with just a plain vanilla glaze and baked in a bundt pan.  I will take my cam with today and take pics of them!! one is gonna be sliced and sold by the piece at market tomorrow!  LOVELY!!  My "eggcellent egg" bread braids were beautiful I have to say it was really warm and they rose quick so had to keep a close eye on them so they didnt over proof! 
And I got some cookie dough done for today, snickerdoodles which are gonna be a soft n chewy cookie.  Today is gonna be a new recipe day a bread filled with cheese and sausage n onions just for us at market tomorrow to enjoy!  Also made up my babka dough and brioche dough to bake today also on the lisht it will be a  muffin day!  I do have to make some cheddar pepper bread but that will be first thing this am then I will work on some new muffins and maybe some more cookies.  Labor Day weekend is a big deal in south haven so I want to have a good supply of things for customers so I better close now and get myself ready to head over to the kitchen and play!! 
Enjoy your day it is windy and rainy and a bit warm here you can sure tell we are approaching fall which is just insane to me seems like summer just started yesterday!!  It really has been a weird weather summer though but FALL is my absolute favo time of the year!! I love everything about it including halloween!! decorating will begin in a couple of weeks, scarerows to dress, cornstalks to tie up and put around, even though pumpkins and gourds are about ready now hope they will last for us!!

HAPPY HAPPY 4th OF JULY YALL~~

WOW!! I have NEVER seen our market so busy as it was today!! And usually we have until about 9 am or so until folks start comin but today by 8 am there were tons of customers!! and what a positive atmosphere today!! AND thank you to everyone and all the wonderful comments today.  Not to brag but here are a few comments about our products!! "YOU ROCK", Your baked goods are just as I remember my grandmothers to be", (love that one) "THANKS for being here at market and giving your customers so much variety" and also "I am so glad you are here as  I dont bake and know I can come to this market and your delicious goodies will be here for me"~~ LOL THANK YOU EVERYONE!! I feel truly BLESSED and cant thank yall enough for buyin  from me and trusting me to make you a tasty quality product!!  I just am overwhelmed!~  My mom and brother came down to market to help and believe me I could not have done it without them.  We had line ups in the booth and it was so nice to talk to people and watch as folks even argued over the last package of the tater n cheeses pierogi!!  I will make more this week!! ELIJAH!! where oh where is my "pierogi pro"??   LOL he made several dozen of them on friday~   I will see u tues!!  What an asset he is too!!~  and fun to work with!

So here are a few of the items we offered this week:   these little cookies are actually my nekked glazed lemon tea cakes and are so dang yummy too!! a favo at markets, and with their "farmgirl bling' glaze they just pop off the plate!!

Blueberry banana muffins were a big hit and also my butter crum streusel topped blueberry muffins,  strawberry banana bread, zucchini pineapple bread, blueberry banana bread, lemon glazed muffins,  cherry crisp, my peach praline crisp, glazed pistachio bread,  rustic cheddar herb bread rounds, loaded carrot cakes, babka coffee cakes filled with frut jam and streusel and also a chocolate and streusel filled babka bread were the populars.   I did run out of my peanut peanut butter whoppie pies and cranberry lemon cream filled cookies and also the blueberry lemon muffins early but there still was plenty of goodies available.  There was a big demand for ravioli but we just didnt have enough time to get it done for todays market.  NEXT week!!  right Elijah"?? LOL

Anyway that was a few of the goodies we had and it was really fun not to have to pack up very much at the end of market.    Again thank you to all my wonderful customers/friends that come out to buy from us!!    Well I have to run and get chores done and it is off to bed time for me and the boys we are all beat!! I am gonna try my bestest to stay in bed tomorrow am at least until 6 am!!  sleepin in for sure!

I hope yall have a very blessed 4th of July weekend, with the cookouts, picnics, trips to the beach, or maybe just layin around in a hammock under shade trees, or in a lounge chair on a deck ENJOY! 

and sip on some sweet tea and RELAX!  people dont take time to just relax and breathe anymore!! we are all in fast forward mode and I say ENOUGH YALL!! time for me~

Today is our 9th Anniversary!! WOW time sure flies dont it!!

So I baked some new things today including an awesome if i might add, cream cheese filled pumpkin roll!!

I made some of the herbed cheddar wafers as pictured above, they would be awesome on a salad as croutons or even in a bowl of soup! dried chives, season salt and garlic powder are just the right combo for them.

I did do up some cinnamon rolls with a cinnamon vanilla glaze, pistachio bread, and some mini pumpkin cheesecake pastries. They are cooling in fridge right now i will take a pic later cuz they are too cute!! Also I bought a mini bread pan last week at my favo store Hobby Lobby and they turn out way too cute. I am goin to package 3 of them or maybe even 6 in a pretty decorated box for the holiday shows for a nice little gift for someone to give. GEEEEE maybe you might get one huh!! LOL

Tomorrow is Allegan farmers market so hope it doesnt rain too much!!

Hey yall!!

Well it sure was another beautiful day here in sw mi!! Sun shinin and actually just t shirt and sweatshirt weather again!! YEAH!! YIPPEE! BUT the forcast is not lookin so good the rest of the week past tomorrow!! rain rain rain and yepper you guessed it more rain!!

I did work on some more mixes to take to market, this time I did up more of my pumpkin spice dip mix which by the way is super yummo!! just add a 15 oz can of pumpkin pie filling and a pkg of cream cheese and what a treat!! It is great with fresh apple slices, on a cracker, a graham cracker and even better on a toasted bagel!! Tomorrow I have to have the following done for market and for at the flower shop since I am starting to advertise next week there!!

Lemon buttermilk cakes, choc chip cookies, pumpkin cream cheese roll, streusel topped pumpkin muffins, a couple of coffee cakes, a decorated white cake with some butter cream frosting maybe? and am kind of thinkin of makin some carrot cakes with cream cheese frosting. So that is about it for now.

I did ask to be in the indoor Bronson Market at Bronson Hospital thru the winter. It will be in the cafeteria at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo MI every other friday from December 11 thru april. Sounds like a nice winter market. Will let yall know more as I find out more. But for right now I still have Allegan Market on thursdays and South Haven Market on Sats!! for a couple more weeks!! they both run thru the end of october!

I gave up all hope of finding mine!! and I feel sick over it I loved that camera! but at least I dont have to learn another one and another program for downloading pics and so on so I am one relieved chickiepoo not to have to go thru all that trouble!!
