CR84FN color sign, and kit for sale

HAPPY SUNDAY!

I am happy to say I am feeling a bit more creative this am so got up early to work on some altered, wood paper and blingy things!! LOL   So its sunday and that means another color challenge over at CR84FN and the inspiration flew for this one!!

Last night I cut out some signs using a pattern I made from a scalloped tag, loved the shape and curves and thought it would be perfect for a couple of new projects. Ok so after downloading 28 pics I am not sure what blogger did with them but they are not here on my blog~~???? OK so let's try again!! URGGGGGGGGG!!  This is gonna take a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggg time!! I just did 3 to try and they disappeared too!!
Maybe this time they will appear here!!

YEAH here they are 3rd times a charm right!! LOL
So here is the smallest of the signs I cut out.  This one is for a baby girl.  U knew pinks would be the first one I made!! had to be pinks!!
ok here we go! U could also do this at home using heavy grungeboard if you dont have access to wood and a band saw.  Actually if you want I am thinking about making a couple of kits up for you to do them at home!!  What do yall think of that idea??

Here is the base covered with wonderful MY MINDS EYE pretty striped pink paper.  I did use elmers glue to put this down and one thing to note on this step!!!  Be sure to lay paper down on glue and rub rub rub, to smooth out and get rid of any trapped air bubbles, I also have a mini wood rolling pin I use just for these projects to smooth them even more before the glue dries.

The pic above isnt here for some reason but it is just of the plain chipboard frame I cut out.  Here is is painted white with acryllic paint then stamped using the top portion only of this great pattered heart stamp.   I used a light pink stamp pad for the color.

and here it is all stamped up.

Needed a bit more so using my chalks i did the edges with a dark shimmery pink chalk.  *tip* I buy the make up applicators from the dollar store and the work great for edging things and are cheapy cheap.

I wanted the frame to pop a bit so ran the edges over my TIM HOLTZ distressing ink pad.

Next was to finish up some flowers for the sign.  I used chipboard I cut out and painted and a vintage pslam book page for more flowers.

Ok I decided not to use this light blue flower so will save that for another one.

On to a rosette for the back of my main flower.  Cut  a strip of patterend paper
and start folding it accordian style down the length. this one is just from a piece of 12x12 cut off the end.
I like to take a bone folder or your nail and press each little fold.

This is what you will have now.

Take the edges and adhere together.  this is the back side  after I applied a bit of glue to the center to hold it together.

front

Next was to jazz up one of the psalm flowers, using the same pink chalk I did the edges then with a very dry brush used antiquing medium along the edges for more depth.

And here is my layered paper rosette!  A clear little sticky gem is added for the center.

Oh and with this flower I rolled the edges under for depth.   I took a skewer or small dowell would work too, and lightly rolled the petal edges around the skewer.

I also made a little tag and stamped it with the words small wonder and added an old recycled little white button.

this looks pretty good now to glue everthing down!!

I drilled a couple of holes on the top part to add a ribbon hanger and a piece of recycled lace along the bottom and a pink satin bow complete this little sign!!
FOR SALE!!  $14.00 plus travel expenses.    almost 8 inches wide and 5 3/4 in tall (not including hanger)
All you have to do is slide your pic under the farme and done!! I did use foam pieces so it is raised for easy picture placing!
The back is stained for a complete look.

I am off to work on a couple others I have ideas for and also a kit for a few.  If  interested let me know colors and a theme and I will custom make a kit for you.   $13.00 for kit plus travel expenses.
Have a blessed sunday and thanks for visiting chicken scratch farm.
