shop pics

I am calling these yummy little treats PIE POCKETS"  these are filled with thick pumpkin pie filling and are just delish.   I think next week I will do cherry.

Made some linzer tart cookies and these not only look good they do taste good.  trying to get a jump start on xmas cookie varieties and thought these look nice and festive.
Cherry preserves inside a butter cookie.

Isnt this just the cutest entry!!  This is Foundry Hall I talk about so much, where we have our farmers market each week.  I put pine wreaths on teh gates and also our banners but my batteries were dead so I couldnt take more of it once I had all the decorations up.

Inside main entry! LOOK AT THAT FLOOR!! love it! I have always wanted black and white in my oun kitchen but never have done it.  HMMMMMMMMMMMm maybe time huh!!
And this is the entry to the shop we are going to rent.  I love it!!

Inside the shop, you can see it isnt alot of space but we can fill it up I am sure of that!

I really am not a yellow fan but this is a nice and mellow and yet bright color.

Very welcoming to me and cozy, this cabinet is a built in and would look great with holiday gifts.
We are hoping to get things tied up this weekend and can start moving in next week!!  Also next week is our Farmers/Artisans market!!  I have at least 20 different crafters/artists coming along with our farmers so should be fun!!  My friend and I are going on tues to decorate.  I  have bought up every artificial garland I could find and and white lights for them too.   Of cource I will take more pics of our process.
Hope yall have a wonderful friday!  I was feeling quite under the weather last night and am really worn out, feels like maybe an allergy infection or something so gonna take a nap with the boys.
Talk soon!!

I went to the kitchen early early yesterday so I could get home early and finish up some more of my painted signs.  So love painting snowmen!!  AND as much as I personally love LOVE** LOVE*** snow I am actually happy as can be we dont have snow yet.  It is suppossed to be in the 50s almost 60s this week!! It does sound like lots of rain but that is a ok by me right now.
Love the soft greens for backrounds with snowmen.  Softens it up so much.

And I do like the blues, today I plan to do some tans.

For some reason blogger isnt let me add any more photos?? URG!!  I did take some of the things I did at the kitchen yesterday which were homemade soft n chewy buttery caramels, my eggcellent egg bread (challah) whict today is gonna be made into pure decadent love......pumpkin bread pudding!!  my favo!!  Also made black olive and sage foccacia loaves, cookie dough to bake today, pumpkin pie spice pecan brittle (this is a great snack) and if you love pumpkin pie spices you would love this.  I will try to break the recipe down it makes 5 pounds of candy.     Today is pineapple cake with coconut icing, 3 bean soup, some butter toffee with almonds, and cinnamon roll muffins.  Maybe a few other things but depends on the time.

Happy happy harvest time!!

WOW~!~ the colors outside are just truly breathtaking!! LOVE IT!! As yall know Fall is my #1 favo time of the year!! well I love summer and spring is just absolutely stunning and the snow oh my the snow is gorgeous too!! LOL but fall is my cup of tea!!  So I decided to "farmgirl bling" up some of my shortbread cookies with orange and white colors and filled them with a chocolate ganache filling!!

And since my boys like fall to I did up some of their treats fallish for them!!  I am taking some to market so the boys will have some spending $$$$$ to buy stuff at petco!!  LOL they love goin in and pickin out new toys!

My bluebery muffins werent exempt from my "bling:" either they recieved a nice drizzel of lemon glaze and the red raspberry muffins got the same treatment.

Here are some pics on my way home one night last week.  The leaves have been blowin off the trees the last few days so they are leavin us quickly.  The weather though has been exceptional for october.  You know hubby and I got married in late october and I insisted on gettin hitched  outisde at my parents in the orchard that day was just perfect!! 82 degrees outside so noone had to wear jackets or mittens either!  We rented a big canopy, had cornstalks in bundles tied all around, fall leaves hangin with sunflowers and red gingham bows around (my favo red gingham and denim) the aisles were straw bales, fall colored mums everywhere, our unity candle sat on a bed of fall leaves ontop of an old rusty milk can we had on our porch, the alter was wood my hubby made an outline in the shape of a barn, complete with raffia and field corn bundles.  My mom and I saved old metal cans, from like veggies and tied a denim strip around the middle with a bow of red gingham and filled them with cut mums in them for the reception tables.  And i was able to buy red gingham fabric table cloths to go on each table.  In fact I use those table cloths now at market for my tables.  LOL just reminiscing bout that day as we are approaching our 10 year anniversary next week.  October 21!  Cant believe it already!! LOVE ya babe!!!
So another reason i Love fall!!
Better run and get things packaged up for the last South Haven farmers market of the season is tomorrow!!  Well for most of the farmers Young Earth Farm and I are gonna be goin thurs afternoons november thru april in the hardware parking lot!! email me for more info if ya like!!
Have a blessed evening yall!!

Peaches-n-blueberries

Happy Friday!! Susan and I made some white bread kind of like french bread with a baguette look.  These are goin to go to  dinner that Lakeshore Harvest Country is hosting this weekend. I also made some squash n cheese filled homemade ravioli for them too.  I was honored to beable to contribute to their dinner.
I love love LOVE this bread it is a bit of work but so worth it.  We baked it on stones in the big convection oven and it is nice and crusty and super soft and flavorful in the middle!!
They are gonna serve it sliced and grilled toppped with some homemade local goat cheese and pesto.  Sounds super yummo!!  I love pesto and need to make some soon!!
I did up something new a pecan streusle filled peach bread and boy that was very good too.  Since we are in the heart of blueberries and peaches it was time to whip up some peachy blueberry goodies.  Here are my cobblers and I also made up some muffins with a buttercrumb topping, and peach blueberry pie.
Peach struesel filled muffins. They baked a bit over the pan but tasted so good it dont matter.  I topped each one with a bit of struesle with toasted pecans.
Well I better get myself finished loading up for market tomorrow.
South Haven Farmers Market tomorrow 8-2 I will have lots of goodies.  Tater-n-cheese pierogi, squash ravioli, lots of cookies and breads oh and muffins.

Buns and market day

I made an extra batch of bread dough and decided to play around and make some homemade sandwich or hamburger buns.  I found out you really use the palm of your hand to get a nice finished round edge on them. So after scaling them out at 3 oz each roll the dough around the counter then cup your hand over it pushing in with your thumb to form a perfect circle.  Easy peasy!! and they turn out fantastic!Using a pastry brush to apply a bit of egg warsh to each one then top with seeds.  LOL egg warsh is a perfect glue!!I am so so SO lovin babka!!  What a smell when that bread is baking! heavenly and the dough is so nice to work with and smooth!!   This week I made walnut struesel filled and also a few had some chopped dried apricots also.
This bread rises perfect and looks just delish!!
Sat was my first day back at South Haven Farmers Market and it was better than ever!! seein everyone again and some of my friends stopped by to say hi, which was an added bonus!!
